Hello,
My client is engaged in the design, development, manufacture and test of niche products for the aerospace and defence industries. They are currently in need of a Press Brake Setter/Operator to join their team in Southend-on-Sea
ROLE: To produce small/large batches of fine limit detailed sheet metal components using CNC and Manual Press Brakes.
DUTIES:
* To manufacture precision detailed sheet metal components including the set up and use of Amada HFE, EG4010 and HFB CNC Press Brakes,
* To use precision equipment such as Vernier Callipers, Protractors and Vernier Height Gauge,
* To use and maintain equipment, such as Fly-Press, Guillotines and Drilling Machines,
* Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained,
* To support team members with other tasks as and when necessary,
* Responsible for ensuring that all Health & Safety Policies are adhered to,
* To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant within any manufacturing area which includes Assembly, Machine Shop and Fabrication.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Precision Sheet Metal work experience
* Experience of setting and operating CNC and manual Press Brakes
* Ability to read 3rd angle projection engineering drawings
* Ability to use engineering measuring equipment
* Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
DESIRED SKILLS:
* GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grade C or above
* Engineering related qualification / Apprenticeship
* Experience in the aerospace Industry
* Power press setting and operating certificate
* Familiarity with aerospace materials such as L163-T3 sheet
LOCATION: SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
SALARY: £16.35 P/H
WORKING HOURS: Permanent, Full-Time, 39 Hours:
Mon – Thurs: 8:00 – 17:00 (30 mins lunch)
Fri: 8:00 – 13:00 (no lunch)
