We have an exciting, permanent Mulesoft API Developer/Data Engineer opportunity to join our client's Data Engineering team within the IT department.

Our client has a brand new Mulesoft API Platform. All the hard work has been done in terms of set up and configuration and they are now ready to move into the new world of API led connectivity through the creation of modern API's.

This is a new role and you will be responsible for the development, support, administration and documentation of their API services that will forge seamless integration between their enterprise level applications and partners.

Working collaboratively across the business you will deliver changes and new data structures to support the work of the Systems Development and Business Intelligence teams as well as providing technical support for business as usual requests relating to their enterprise API's services.

Our client knows the ways of working are evolving so whilst they are offering this role as a remote/hybrid opportunity, trips to their hubs in London/Horsham will be at key times when the team comes together for core collaboration - this could be as little as once per month.

Here's some of the key work you'll be doing:

-Work with the Mulesoft API platform to facilitate new implementations of the societies API services.

-Design, implement, and maintain complex data engineering solutions to acquire and prepare data.

-Create and maintain data pipelines to connect data within and between data stores, applications and organisations.

-Monitor cross integration performance statistics by creating reports and customising OOTB solutions on various platforms.

-Identify and investigate complex problems/issues and recommend corrective actions.

-Plan your own Datamodelling and design activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives.

-Provide key advice and guidance to others using the data structures and associated components.

-Implement physical database designs to support transactional data requirements for performance and availability.

-Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, design principles, architectures, software and facilities.

What we are looking for in you:

-Strong background in API Development & Management on the Mulesoft API Platform.

-You'll have established experience in a Data Engineering (or equivalent) role

-Strong SQL Scripting capability and practical experience of databases

-Datamodelling skills
