Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy based in the heart of London, specialising in urban and rural development, property advice, and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a talented Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner to join a dynamic team and contribute to a variety of high-profile planning projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a portfolio of planning projects, including Energy, Infrastructure, Industrial, Leisure, Retail, Education, Offices and residential.
Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and other planning documentation.
Provide expert planning advice to clients, ensuring the delivery of successful outcomes for development projects.
Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities to facilitate consultation processes.
Monitor and interpret relevant planning legislation and policy changes.
Contribute to business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and fostering client relationships.
Mentor and guide junior members of the planning team.Key Requirements:

Relevant degree in town planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited).
Membership or eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Relevant experience in the Private Sector
Strong understanding of the UK planning system, policy frameworks, and development processes.
Proven track record of managing planning projects, from inception to approval.
