Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor on a contract basis.
M&E Supervisor
Southern Region
Contract
Inside IR35
This role, within the Southern Region, is primarily focused on the planning, execution, and documentation of electrical and mechanical activities on various projects, particularly within the Southern Water framework. The projects range from waste to clean water treatment plants, with varying sizes (£2m to £20m), and span across multiple sites in the Hampshire, West Sussex, and Isle of Wight area.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Overseeing site installation activities to meet project-specific requirements and timelines.
Documentation Management: Ensuring continuous documentation of testing requirements via the Common Data Environment and marking up any amendments to drawings during the installation phase.
Sub-contractor Management: Coordinating the work of sub-contractors during installations.
Defects and Snags: Monitoring and resolving defects or snags during the construction phase.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to all GTb Health and Safety protocols during installation.
Post-completion Support: Assisting the Project Manager in resolving defects that arise after project completion.
Reporting:
The role operates within a matrix management structure and reports to:
The electrical or mechanical Senior Supervisor lead
The assigned Project Manager
Qualifications:
Essential:
CSCS or ECS card in a relevant discipline
CITB SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
18th Edition electrical qualifications
BS761:2018 electrical standards
Desirable:
EUSR Water Hygiene Card
First Aid at Work
SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Scheme)
COMPEX EX.f / DSEAR Awareness
Certified PROFIBUS Installer
PROFIBUS Commissioning and Maintenance
Confined Spaces Entry (Medium Risk)
Ideal Candidate:
Proactive and problem-solving attitude: A hands-on approach is essential for progressing project deliverables.
Flexible and mobile: The role requires travel across various sites, and the ideal candidate will be based in or around Hampshire, West Sussex, or the Isle of Wight.
