About the role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to provide targeted booster sessions for low-achieving pupils. This part-time role is perfect for someone passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential. As a Teaching Assistant specializing in interventions, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support to students who need a little extra help. Your work will play a crucial role in helping these children gain confidence, improve their skills, and achieve academic success.
This role requires someone patient, understanding, and has a genuine love for working with children. You will be working with small groups or one-on-one, creating an encouraging and positive learning environment that helps students overcome challenges and thrive in their education. If you have experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a keen interest in helping children succeed, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with Key Stage 1 students.
• A background in providing booster sessions or interventions.
• Experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to teaching.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted booster sessions to low-achieving pupils in Key Stage 1
• Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver effective interventions
• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to overcome challenges
• Monitor and report on students’ progress, adapting support strategies as needed
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to achieve their best
