Job Title: Network Architect

Overview: Are you a seasoned Network Architect with a passion for setting strategy and standards in voice, data, video, and wireless network technology services? We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the global technology landscape from a networking perspective, both on-premise and in the cloud. As the go-to technical lead in this domain, you will be instrumental in guiding the firm's network strategy and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and maintain the strategy for the use of voice, data, video, and wireless network technology services.
  • Understand and implement SaaS-based voice and video conferencing technology services and ISP connectivity.
  • Define and oversee the global technology landscape from a networking perspective.
  • Manage suppliers in the network, voice, conferencing, Internet, and video space.
  • Recommend and propose monitoring solutions and best practices.
  • Assist in transitioning new technologies into mainstream IT support.
  • Create and work with Enterprise Architecture artefacts.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code for cloud-based deployments and traditional network and voice technology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Possess deep technical knowledge in IP Networking technologies with SDN and security experience.
  • Stay updated on advancements in network technologies.
  • Present Network Roadmap strategy to the IT Leadership Team.
  • Lead in the network, Internet voice, and video technology space globally.
  • Advise the CTO/Lead Infrastructure Architect and IT Leadership team on network and communications technology.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation related to network topology, designs, patterns, principles, and standards.
  • Own the firm's standard non-functional requirements for all network and communications solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in selecting, designing, and overseeing the deployment of LAN, WAN, and WLAN solutions.
  • Architectural experience in product life cycle delivery, from strategy to execution.
  • Datacenter network design experience, including top of rack, end of row, core and edge switch deployments.
  • Experience with converged infrastructure and software-defined networking technology.
  • Hands-on and design experience with MPLS WAN Networks, SD-WAN, Microsoft ExpressRoute, vWAN, and Direct Access.
  • Expertise in Azure VNETs, VNET Peering, NSGs, VNET Gateways, and Azure Traffic Manager.
  • Experience deploying network appliances and network functions in Azure.
  • Proficient in designing and deploying Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) in branch offices.
  • Strong network security experience in protecting company networks from unauthorized access and harm.
  • Experience in global Firewall, network load balancer, and WAN Optimizer strategy and design.

Education & Experience:

  • Extensive experience as a Network Architect, with a track record of successful network strategy implementation.
  • Proven ability to lead and advise on network technology and supplier recommendations.
  • Strong architectural documentation skills and familiarity with Enterprise Architecture artefacts.
  • Experience in deploying and managing traditional and cloud-based network technologies.
