Global Insurance/Reinsurance business needs to hire a part qualified/newly qualified Actuary to join their Life & Health business and to collaborate with teams around the world.

You will be a key partner for portfolio monitoring priorities in the UK, Ireland and MEA markets to identify and monitor portfolio risks. Performing deep dive investigations to understand the drivers of performance and propose and support execution of relevant actions. You will use data analytics and visualisations to communicate portfolio performance and to highlight areas of concern.

  • A part qualified or newly qualified Actuary with an inquisitive, pragmatic and commercial nature.
  • Working experience of around 5 years in the insurance/reinsurance market.
  • Good understanding of various valuation methods including IFRS17.
  • Strong financial acumen, ability to interpret financial results and formulate tangible actions.
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for leveraging data and technology to steer business decisions.
  • Experience with coding and data analytics tools (eg Power BI) would be an asset.
  • An independent and critical thinker with good negotiation skills and an ability to constructively challenge.
  • Excellent at networking, ability to engage and build positive relationships with various internal and external partners.
