Linux System Administrator - Corsham (SN13)
* Salary £50,000 - £65,000

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator that brings a methodical and dedicated approach to R&D, problem solving, and are able to act quickly in assessing a situation. We want you to relish in the provision of a first class service to our customers and be able to communicate at all levels to ensure understanding. Either working alone or part of the team, we want you to come up with solutions that ensure business continuity or can add substance to new or on-going projects or products.
Technical Skills:
* Detailed exposure to all aspects of the RedHat/CentOS operating system, from design to installation and on-going maintenance of multiple systems.
* Experience of automation, including Ansible and Puppet
* Experience of RHEL Performance monitoring methodology and tuning based on application needs.
* Able to continually adapt the system design around business needs or software requirements.
* Be able to work closely with development teams or other business areas to ensure the systems deliver necessary requirements.
* Experience with advanced partitioning requirements.
* High availability cluster with nodes located over routed Wide Area Networks.
* Familiar with Linux system patching process and update procedures.
* Exposure to Virtualization technologies and guest integrations such as application aware backups.
* Exposure to HPC, Storage Area Networks, Blade hardware enclosures and constraints and bottlenecks.
Necessary Experience/Qualifications Specification:
Certified to a RHCE, RHCSA or a specialist Red Hat certification, with at least 5 years experience working with Linux systems since RHEL 6/7 release.
Desirable:
* Exposure to managing VMWare ESXi hypervisor kernel.
* Previous exposure to Load Balancing.
* Exposure to managing RHEL systems within a VDI Environment

Due to the highly secure nature of the projects you’ll be working on, you must be willing to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government DV-Level security clearance
