This global manufacturing company are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team. Reporting directly into the HR Director the HR Advisor will provide practical, commercial and ethical HR advice to line managers in line with the company values.

Based onsite in Uckfield 3 days per week and 2 days from home.

This position is Full Time.

Working as part of the UK HR team supporting managers in effectively developing, managing and retaining people.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for managers seeking HR advice
  • Coach and support managers through HR processes (absence management, performance, disciplinary and grievance procedures)
  • Create the tools to upskill line managers and increase confidence and competence
  • Work across the business areas as needed in support of key processes; pay review, performance calibration, employee engagement action planning; talent mapping
  • Optimise processes and offer suggestions for streamlining and automation
  • Build credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the seamless implementation and revisions of HR processes across all UK sites.
  • Oversee all HR aspects related compliance relating to payroll, recruitment and employee life cycle.
  • Assist with change management processes
  • Review, update HR policies and procedures ensuring they are in line with the current UK legislation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and feedback recommendations for changes.
  • Deliver training aligned to behaviours and culture.

Knowledge and Skills

  • CIPD qualified (desirable).
  • Management of HR related IT programmes and systems.
  • Self-starter that thrives in a fast paced environment.
  • interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with difficult and sensitive situations, and make critical decisions.
  • written and communication skills.
  • stakeholder management skills both internally and externally.
  • and forward thinking.

Experience:

  • employee relations including complex cases
  • defining strategic direction and detailed policies.
  • ability to effectively motivate diverse teams and drive engagement, increase capability, professional excellence and performance.
