Seegmiller and Associates is a reputable law firm specializing in litigation cases. We are dedicated to providing top-notch legal services to our clients. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting Mr. Seegmiller in all stages of the litigation process.
Responsibilities
Assist Mr. Seegmiller in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by conducting research, reviewing legal documents, and organizing case files
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Manage the firm's case management system, ensuring all case information is accurately recorded and readily accessible
Review and summarize depositions, witness statements, and other case-related materials
Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
Conduct legal research to support attorneys' arguments and provide relevant case law and statutes
Assist attorneys in preparing for trial, including organizing exhibits, compiling witness lists, and preparing trial notebooks
Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and court personnel, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the litigation process
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and certification from an accredited paralegal program
Previous experience as a litigation paralegal
Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with e-discovery software and document management systems
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
