Nurture Teacher for Primary (Special Needs)—Harrow (Middlesex)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Nurture Teacher to join our team, supporting primary-aged students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young students who require additional care and tailored learning approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver nurturing and inclusive lessons for Primary students with a range of special needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and Learning Difficulties.
Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated to learn.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting teaching strategies to suit each student’s unique learning needs.
Foster positive relationships with students, building their confidence, social skills, and emotional resilience.
Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development and progress.
Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for additional support.
The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with SEN or SEMH needs.
However, unqualified teachers with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
Excellent behaviour management skills, with the ability to create a calm and supportive learning environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
A passion for supporting students in their academic and personal growth, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
