The role
To work with Teachers to raise the learning and progress id pupils whilst also promoting their independence, self esteem and social aspects of their life's. You will understand roles and responsibilities within the classroom and throughout the School and demonstrate expertise and skills in understanding the needs of all pupils.
In this role you will need to be able to use effective behaviour management strategies that are in line with the Schools behaviour management policy and contribute to assessment and planning by supporting the monitoring, recording and reporting of pupil progress.
The School
This is a special needs School in the Borough of Camden. There are a total of 260 pupils aged 2 to 19 within the School who are identified with complex needs. The School are committed to providing an outstanding standard of education through meaningful research which informs our teaching and learning approaches. The school is focused on positive relationships, and embraces a multi-agency provision which places the pupil and their family at the core of everything they aim to do.
Requirements
Knowledge and understanding of special educational needs through experience in the classroom or experience working in a School or care setting
