Business Development Manager/ Sales Executive

North East

Up to £45,000 (very dependent on experience, if very junior, from £26,000) + commission

SRG are working with a subsidiary of a leading Waste Management company, but who have their roots as a company that has established itself as a leading service provider of waste management, recycling solutions, and industrial services in the North East of England, who are experiencing significant growth. They pride themselves as providing bespoke solutions that are customer-focused, give exceptional customer support, and nurture client relationships. They are looking for Business Development professionals that will share their values, grow with them as they continue to expand, work hard, and are not scared to knock on doors and build their industrial client base. You will also have access to a career pathway with the larger parent corporation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but successful and expanding commercial team.

Package/ contract details: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 25 days holidays plus bank, bonus/ commission scheme, car allowance or car, company laptop and phone, pension, private healthcare, retail and leisure discounts, holiday and travel discounts, Bike to Work scheme, and ongoing career development.

Role/Description

Maintain, expand on and upsell the current client base (currently includes companies such as INEOS, JCB, AksoNobel, Caterpillar, and many other large entities)
Build excellent client relationships and establish trust with them
New business development - create, build and execute lucrative sales plans
Collaborate across various functions and across all levels of the business (from those working in the yard through to the MD)
Collaborate with and call upon the commercial director to set up and execute your BD plan
Regular client visits and meetings - high levels of BD activity is a mustRequirements

Significant experience in the Waste Management/ Recycling industry and/ or significant sales experience in those or within a manufacturing, chemicals, heavy industry, or similar environment
Highly confident, with the ability to communicate effectively
Active listening and ability to ask the right questions
Good negotiation skills and ability to influence
Good presentation skills with ability to adapt to any level or type of audience
Highly organised, with excellent time management skills
Ability to work independently
Good IT skills with competency using software such as MS Office
