Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance and Property this South East London council are looking for an experienced Head of service to lead, manage and direct the strategy and governance for the delivery of facilities building management (FM), capital projects and Corporate Landlord Model experience
Your Role as the AD for Head of Facilities Management and Capital Transformation:
• To oversee the formulation and delivery of plans for the management of the Council’s property assets
• To develop and implement effective arrangements for Facilities Management in all the premises occupied by the Council, its staff or partners for the delivery of its services.
• To develop a capital investment plan for the Council’s corporate property aligned to service requirements for the long term.
• To manage and oversee the strategical transformation to a Corporate Landlord Model.
• To manage and be responsible for a team of 15 and install stability and direction throughout the service.
Your Previous experience as a Head of Facilities Management and Capital Transformation:
• Experience in stakeholder management, Engaging with the Mayor, Cabinet Members, residents, and other key stakeholders.
• A track record of aligning with the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for long-term asset management strategies.
• Significant experience of leading complex corporate and service projects involving colleagues from other departments/disciplines.
• Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in respect of facilities management and health and safety.
• Experience of project management, including managing business processes and analysis. This will include an ability to manage cross-cutting project teams and working groups.
