Location: Andover

Hours: Monday - Thursday 1pm - 11pm (Initial training will be working on the day shift Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday: 08:30 - 15:30)

Reporting to: SMT Set-up Supervisor

Purpose of the role

As the SMT Set-Up Operative at CIL, you will be primarily assisting in the preparation of SMT kits for the Surface Mount Machine Operators. You will be responsible for the control and setting up of SMT kits, de-kitting returns, countback and communication with the Stores team. Whilst Electronic component knowledge would be ideal, we are eager to consider applicants who are new to the industry who is willing to learn with great attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual, as we are seeking someone who is keen to progress and take on extra responsibilities with less supervision at our new site.

Primary roles & responsibilities

* Setting up the kits ready for the SMT production process

* Ensure all de-kitting is controlled before returning to Stores

* Carry out administration duties using the computer

* Control all shortages directly with the Stores team

* Collaborating within your team and supporting others when necessary

* Adhere to Health & Safety requirements, regulations and follow documented procedures.

* Adhere to Company IT and Data Policy

The ideal person will demonstrate the following:

* Production/Assembly experience or similar would be ideal

* Computer Literate: Comfortable using Microsoft Packages; Word, Excel and Outlook

* Excellent attention to detail

* Team-player

* Experience using fine tools and microscopes would be advantageous

* Electronics industry experience would be desirable
