Estimator/Production Manager –Window Installation

Our client, renowned for their high-quality bespoke windows and doors and exceptional customer care, is seeking a skilled Estimator/Production Manager to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, supplying to the trade and construction markets.

About the Role:

As an Estimator/Production Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that customer needs are met with precision and care. You will be responsible for estimating aluminium windows and doors using industry-specific software like Logikal, inputting measurements, and reporting. In addition to your estimating duties, you will manage the workshop, ensuring smooth operations and high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Customer Engagement: Liaise directly with customers to understand their requirements, manage expectations, and provide expert advice on specifications and compliance.

* Quotation Preparation: Extract detailed information from tender drawings to prepare and submit accurate quotations.

* Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong, professional relationships with existing clients, ensuring continued satisfaction and repeat business.

* Communication: Handle customer interactions via phone and online platforms, and coordinate with architects and housebuilders to ensure project specifications are met.

* Workshop Management: Oversee daily operations in the workshop, ensuring efficiency and quality in production.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven Experience: A solid track record of estimating windows and doors, with specific experience in aluminium preferred.

* Software Proficiency: Experience using Logikal or similar industry-specific software for accurate estimation and reporting.

* Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the construction industry, particularly in relation to tender drawings and project management.

* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers, architects, and housebuilders.

* Self-Management: Ability to manage your own workload, meet tight deadlines, and be proactive and reliable in your approach.
