We are seeking a Head of Commercial Finance that will lead activities around FP&A and have a real understanding for costing products. As Head of Commercial Finance this role will have a significant P&L impact of over £1bn. As the Head of Commercial Finance, you will work closely with operational and financial stakeholders in purchasing, sales and marketing and senior leadership to optimise financial performance and deliver against ambitious budget commitments. You will be a trusted advisor, shaping financial plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and leading cost-saving initiatives that drive value across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Leading a team of 3 direct and 8 indirect reports
Maximise financial performance and ensure budget commitments are met.
Lead the development of the 5-year and annual financial plan for procurement and logistics, providing clarity on assumptions and securing leadership buy-in.
Regular performance reviews with senor leaders, challenging P&L and KPI performance to drive improvements.
Conduct monthly forecasts to identify P&L risks or opportunities and develop action plans with leadership to optimise outcomes.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and tracking of cost-saving opportunities, ensuring they are realised and embedded in business practice.
Provide financial insight into change initiatives, ensuring projects are viable and deliver expected benefits.

Essentially, this role is targeting a qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA accountant with post-qualification experience and proven experience in finance business partnering and commercial FP&A. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a high-performing team. Ability to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, with excellent communication skills whilst being a proactive, self-starter mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
