Job Title: Fleet and Deliveries Manager
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

By optimising our fleet and delivery services, we aim to make pharmacy better, ensuring that we provide the highest quality care and positively impact the lives of our patients. As we continue our journey to innovate and improve safety within our operations, we are also rolling out the Pharmdel app across the Avicenna estate – giving us a digital platform which will revolutionise our delivery service.

Your New Role with Avicenna:
As the Fleet and Deliveries Manager, you will be a pivotal member of our healthcare delivery team, responsible for leading and optimising Avicenna’s fleet operations and home delivery services. Your primary objective will be to standardise and enhance the delivery process across our network, focusing on improving the efficiency of our geographical network whilst reducing inefficiencies and increasing patient satisfaction.

You will collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and the wider Operations team to align our services with 'The Avicenna Way,' ensuring operational excellence and outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities will fall within the following categories

Operational Leadership

Commercial Responsibility

Digital Transformation

People Management

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Oversee all aspects of fleet and home delivery operations, including vehicle purchasing, maintenance, and insurance.

* Manage the budget for fleet and home delivery operations, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control.

* Own the P&L for fleet operations, analysing financial performance and developing opportunities for financial efficiencies.

* Develop strategies to increase revenue and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.

Plan and lead the rollout of the Pharmdel app across all pharmacies to provide a modern platform for our deliveries service

* Digital transformation/project management experience

* Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and P&L oversight

* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
