Location: Warrington and Newton Le Willows
Duration: Bank staff required on a supply basis. Ad hoc and long-term roles
Job Summary: We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Temporary Teaching Assistants to join our team at schools specialising in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Student Support: Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
· Behaviour Management: Implement and support the school's behaviour management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
· Monitoring Progress: Help track and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to progress reports.
· Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, helping them develop resilience and coping strategies.
· Safeguarding: Adhere to the school's safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Education: A relevant qualification in child development, education, or special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
· Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in an educational setting is highly desirable.
· Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
o Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
