We are thrilled to present an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join a dynamic manufacturing company located in Lancing, offering a salary of up to £60,000.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals in procurement, planning, warehousing, and customer service.
Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in supply chain management, particularly within a manufacturing setting, and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities at a senior management level.
Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager include:
Order Fulfilment Management: Oversee the entire order fulfilment process from receipt to dispatch, integrating customer service, planning, purchasing, and warehousing functions to ensure efficiency.
Procurement and Supplier Relations: Manage procurement activities by selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
Inventory Optimisation: Implement inventory control measures and demand forecasting techniques to maintain optimal stock levels, balancing product availability with minimal carrying costs and risks.
Logistics and Distribution Oversight: Coordinate transportation and warehousing activities to ensure timely product delivery, optimising routes and reducing costs in collaboration with logistics partners.
Team Development and Compliance: Provide coaching and mentorship to team members while ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements related to product safety and traceability. Person Specification of the Supply Chain Manager:
Proven experience in supply chain management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes and best practices
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all stakeholders
