Our client is an independent garden centre dedicated to providing customers with a wide range of high-quality plants, gardening supplies, and expert advice. With a commitment to promoting a love for gardening and outdoor living, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Plant Area Manager to join their team and lead the department.

Position Overview: As the Plant Area Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the horticultural department. You will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring the health and vitality of our plant inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of horticulture, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating a vibrant and inspiring garden centre environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the team, providing guidance, training, and support.
Develop and implement merchandising strategies to showcase plants and garden products effectively.
Provide expert advice to customers on plant selection, care, and garden maintenance.
Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate restocking efforts.
Oversee the maintenance of outdoor display areas, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organised layout.Qualifications:

Proven experience in a horticultural management role.
Strong knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and horticultural best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Customer-focused with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
