Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager specializing in Geotechnical Engineering to join their team in New Jersey.
As a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee geotechnical engineering projects from conception through completion.
Hybrid position (2 days hybrid a week), but first 3 months in office.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage geotechnical engineering investigations and studies for a variety of projects
Conduct site assessments and evaluate subsurface conditions
Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and design recommendations
Develop and oversee laboratory testing programs
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
Mentor and supervise junior staff members
Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience with at least 8 years in project management. Previous experience in construction is desirable.
Licenses: Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) preferred.
Certifications:
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.
FE/EIT certification preferred.
Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites are necessary.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, solid geometry, and trigonometry. Proficient in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Technical Skills: Proficient or familiar with computer design software including Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, Finite Element Analysis, AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, Rocscience, MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Benefits
Salary: $120K/yr - $140K/yr, negotiable
