EMI Services is hiring an experienced commercial/industrial HVAC Technician with management/supervisory experience! The position will be responsible for the direct oversight and operations of a small team of technicians who perform maintenance, repair, replacement, and modernization of HVAC systems in order to achieve regulated climatic conditions. The ideal EMI HVAC Lead Technician is EPA Universal Certified and has the skill level to teach, train and supervise as well as the ability to make repairs on a variety of HVAC systems.

This is a supervisory role responsible for the training and leadership of HVAC Technician I and General Maintenance workers. On-site support is required 5 days a week.

Salary

$120,000 plus employer paid health benefits *potential for annual performance bonus

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and train a small team of subordinate HVAC positions

Work on air-cooled chillers, pumps and water systems, and VRF systems

Test input & output for voltage on building systems sensors/activators

Work on units including: split package, residential style, and up to light commercial, mini-splits, VAV’s and AHUs

Use a multi-meter to check voltage amp

Use a torch for brazing

Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

4+ years of advanced experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of commercial/industrial HVAC systems

Experience with Chillers

Experience with Direct Digital Control (DDC)

EPA Universal Refrigeration License

HVAC I course or equivalent

Valid driver’s license

Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Regular, dependable attendance

U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
