Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2 Interventions & Boosters)

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only (Monday - Friday)
School: 2-Form Entry Primary School in South Sheffield
Year Groups: Year 5 & Year 6

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in South Sheffield for an ASAP start. This is a full-time role working with Key Stage 2 children who require additional support to achieve their full potential in English and Maths.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver boosters and interventions to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils who are working towards expected progress in English and Maths.
Provide phonics interventions, with a strong emphasis on Read Write Inc strategies.
Work closely with class teachers to identify pupils who need additional support and track progress.
Plan and deliver targeted interventions to improve outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
Support the learning and development of pupils in line with the school's curriculum and intervention programs.

Requirements:

TA qualification at Level 2 or above (or equivalent).
Experience working with KS2 children in a primary school setting.
Experience with Read Write Inc is essential, especially in phonics interventions.
A passion for helping children to succeed and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm, during term time only.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, helping them to build confidence and achieve success.
