The company is looking to hire a Procurement Manager in the marine sector, who specialises in Engineering goods / components. The successful candidate will bring their expertise to our Procurement & Supply Chain function to manage and optimise procurement processes and service.

Our client is a respected player in the Marine sector, and have recently received investment to support their growth strategy. They have a UK presence servicing multiple location and 1000s of customers a year, receiving great feedback and loyalty. Their headquarters are based in Hull.
Description
As the Procurement Manager - Engineering you will,
Lead and manage the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives and support a busy operation
Build strong relationships with suppliers, and internal stakeholders to learn the business, highlighting opportunities for improvement, removing transactional activity, and increasing response times to customers
Review and develop the supply base, improving on service levels, and commercial terms
Own systems integrity / data for suppliers
Working closely with operations / logistics to understand inventory and service levels to customer (ability to deliver in a tight window of time)Profile
A successful Procurement Manager - Engineering should have:
A excellent technical knowledge within Marine Engineering coupled with a good commercial acumen, and knowledge of the marine supply base
Proven as a Procurement Manager, with the ability to engage a develop a team
Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.

A salary of circa £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
