Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs, providing them with the support they need to thrive.

Job Description:

As a Speech and Language Therapist in our SEN school, you will:

Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) in children.
Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address identified needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of each child.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils, adjusting interventions as necessary.
Provide training and support to school staff to enhance their understanding and skills in supporting children with SLCN.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for pupils.
Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.Requirements:

The successful candidate must have:

HCPC Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience with SEN: A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
DBS: A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
Safeguarding: A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pupil safety.Desirable Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of pupils.
Experience in delivering training to staff and parents.How to Apply:
