Registered Manager Job Description
* Registered Care Manager required for a small private residential care home in Hoo, Rochester.
* Responsibilities will include day-to-day running of the home. Assist with recruitment, appointment and deployment of staff. Staff supervision and returns back to work meeting
* Carry out new resident assessment attending Local authority meeting
* Attending family meeting and reviews for the residents
* Working with Professional in the community
* Night spot check throughout the year
* health and safety checks in the care home
* Ensure that the home is compliant with health and safety, infection control, etc. in line with CQC requirements.
* To promote a caring environment for service users through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users.
* To ensure that each service user receives the appropriate care to their individual needs.
* To ensure the provision of health care arrangements, which may include the ordering, recording and, where appropriate, the administration of prescribed medications.
* on-call rota with Deputy Manager.
* 40 hours a week
Person Specification: Essential Criteria
* At least two years’ experience in a senior management capacity within the previous five years.
* A management qualification or a degree in health & social care or care equivalent to NVQ level 5.
* Able to take responsibility
* Leadership skills.
* Self-motivated.
* Organised.
* Flexible.
* Caring.
* Sensitive to the needs of others and to the sick or infirm.
* An active team player but also able to work on own initiative.
* A good communicator.
* Committed to high standards.
* Committed to training
