Senior DevOps Engineer

Do you want to work for a company that puts renewables at the heart of what they do?
My client is a fast-growing and multi-award winning renewable energy supplier – set up to provide customers with 100% renewable energy plus award winning customer service.
Since their inception in 2015 they have grown to supply over 300,000 customers and are on target for supplying 1 million customers by 2026.
Its because of this growth that they are looking to expand their Engineering team and hire a Senior Devops Engineer who will play a key role in designing & building their platform.!
Key Skills
Experience with cloud native CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions/Argo/GKE
Must have programming experience/background in a language such as Java, C#, Kotlin, Go
Have experience mentoring/leading in DevOps teams
Experience collaborating with product/software engineering teams and supporting on the delivery of code.
Experience scripting in a language such a Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience working with and designing distributed systems
Has worked in an environment with zero downtime deployments
Has led efforts to build reliability and redundancy into platforms
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform/CloudFormation
Experience with one or more of AWS, GCP, Azure
The Role
Design and build the platform, leveraging modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Iac and Agile methodologies.
Mentor junior team members
Ensuring the availability, performance and readiness of our test and production environments to support our release aspirations
Maintain and enhance our monitoring and observability stack, ensuring we can provide a real time view on availability and performance
Work within cross-functional engineering teams to build products and services
Automate wherever possible
Benefits
Base salary upto £80k plus Performance Bonus
Life Assurance 4x Base Salary
Bonus up to 10% Base Salary
