- Salary: £45,000 per annum
Our client is in search of a Network and Systems Manager to take charge of the administration and support of all infrastructure, networking, and telecoms. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic problem-solver capable of managing a diverse range of tasks, from addressing end-user issues to upholding rigorous system security and performance standards.
Day to Day of the Role:- Address and resolve issues reported by end users, managing tickets on the Incident Management System.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
- Oversee network Servers and technology tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage outages.
- Uphold security through access controls, backups, vulnerability detection and mitigation, and Firewalls.
- Regularly upgrade systems with new releases and models and develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Collaborate with third-party support companies to provide necessary support.
- Manage the workload and personnel of the Systems and Security Administrator role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2022, Windows 11, Azure, Azure Hybrid AD, Intune/Autopilot, Microsoft Teams (including phone system), and Cisco Firewalls.
- Experience with server patching, VMWare, backups/DR planning, Umbrella, VPNs, VLAN, switch patching and maintenance, and various other systems and technologies listed.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and personal organisation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and manage conflicting priorities.
- Experience with Cyber Security Essentials Plus, ISO27001, and other security accreditations is desirable.
