Cabling Engineer

As a cabling engineer you will be responsible for cable pulling, dressing in and termination & testing of voice, CAT6 and fibre cables. You will have a strong understanding of health and safety which you will actively promote.

Tasks include:
- Installing comms cables (CAT6, Voice and Fibre multicore).
- Installing of various types of containment (tray/basket)
- Termination of CAT6 panels and outlets
- Termination of multicore Fibre using a splicer (Fujikura 60s/70S experience and familiarity or similar preferred)
- Testing copper & fibre cables using Fluke DSX and OTDR preferred
- Patching cat6 and fibre cables
- Fault Finding issue

A CSCS or ECS qualification is required for the position.

Cabling engineers will work on a shift pattern covering days and nights and be expected to be onsite 5 days per week.

The initial contract is for 6 months.
