Our client, a world leader in developing and manufacturing environmental technology solutions for the semiconductor industry, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This permanent position is within a company known for advancing abatement systems, enabling clients to reduce greenhouse gases and improve manufacturing processes for semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs, and solar panels.

Key Responsibilities:

Document, implement, and continuously improve the manufacturing cell's Lean manufacturing processes according to the guidelines of the Vacuum Technique Production System
Define, set up, and optimise the processes within the allocated manufacturing cell(s)
Implement continuous improvement activities and projects
Design or optimise, prove, implement, and maintain cell layouts
Implement and maintain risk assessments for allocated manufacturing cell(s), including authoring of safe systems of work
Specify and purchase appropriate tooling and equipment for the manufacturing cell(s)
Ensure configuration control of operational documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 regulations
Resolve or support any non-conformity impacting the manufacturing process
Eliminate routing and material variances within the manufacturing cell(s)
React to production feedback and influence design revision through the engineering change process

Job Requirements:

Experience in a comparable role within manufacturing engineering
Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent qualification (desirable)
Expertise in process documentation authoring, procedures, and work instructions
Experience in optimising production processes and providing production support
Problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis tools
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively within all organisational levels
Development and implementation of technical solutions to meet requirements within agreed timescales
IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Office
Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (desirable)
Basic CAD skills for layout design and model interrogation (desirable)
Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP (desirable)
Knowledge of DFM/PFMEA (desirable)
Experience with change management (desirable)
Understanding of compliance requirements for health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations (desirable)
