Reed Construction are excited to announce a fantastic job opportunity for an ambitious Building Surveyor to join the rapidly expanding department of a well established consultancy in Birmingham known who their reputation of quality training and knowledge

About You:

You will have completed your surveying degree and have approx 1 years' experience
You value the learning opportunity available and are happy to travel nationwide to attend client sites once up and running
You are able to work independently, have a strong team spirit, and a positive attitude to service delivery.Key Skills:

Understanding in delivering core building surveying services such as Contract Administration, Dilapidations, Party Wall, Landlord and Tenant, Defect Analysis and Rectification, Developing a Client Brief, Project delivery, JCT Contract Administration (Minor and IF), Technical Compliance (Planning & Building Regulations), Specification writing, Producing schedules of work.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, good writing and numeracy skills.
Ability to present a professional image, especially when client-facing, and demonstrate a confident persona.
Full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle, and willingness to travel for work.What Is On Offer:

Graduate salary of £28-32K per annum (depending on experience) - car allowance becomes available after probation period
Healthy Pension contribution, 25 days holiday, Healthcare (after successful completion of probation period), Life Insurance, and paid professional subscriptions.The ideal candidate:

Building Surveying degree graduate
6 months - 2 years Building Surveying experience
Have experience of working on varied projects across the spectrum of building surveying services
An understanding of the CDM regulations 2015.
Ability to effectively cooperate and deal with a wide range of internal and external relationships.
An excellent communicator who is both approachable and a good listener; also, diplomatic & assertive.
