A fantastic opportunity to play a vital part within a global engineering company as a Class 1 delivery driver. You will be on the forefront of the business operations, making sure vital equipment for key projects is delivered on-time whilst representing our organisation in every interaction.

This position is based within our Taunton depot and has many perks in terms of stability, pension, stay away bonus, expenses and overtime which is paid at time and a half, with a high and achievable OTE.

HGV Class 1 Delivery Driver Taunton

This position reports to the transport manager based at our HQ in Hampshire.

· Working hours are 10 hours per day, between 6am and 4pm, with flexibility needed around these times

· Possible nights away per week (up to 4), with a fixed payment per stay away.

· This is a Monday to Friday vacancy with weekends off.

Main Purpose of the Role

To work within the Transport department and ensure that all orders are delivered safely, securely, efficiently, and effectively.

Ensuring that all driving compliance standards are achieved in a safe and professional manner.

Your Primary Roles and Responsibilities

1. Deliver and collect Conquip products to and from their final destination in a professional, efficient and effective manner

2. Liaise with Transport Manager regarding logistics and ensuring customer first approach taken at all times.

3. Communicate between the office and the customer to ensure that on time delivery is maintained or exceeded on each occasion.

4. Adhere to all legislations on all occasions including Tacho and DSA driving standards.

5. Maintain a positive image to the customer of the Conquip brand.

6. Maintain vehicle to a high level and ensure that various compliance requirements are achieved.

KPI’s

· Tacho Reports

· On-time delivery

· Customer Satisfaction

· Vehicle Maintenance

Basic Skills Required

· Teamwork

· Managers Feedback

· Compliance

· Class 1 License

Key Personality Traits Required

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Have a can do, problem solving attitude and ability to work fast paced in a high-pressure environment and turn your hand to tasks outside of driving when asked.

· Be positive and perform at your highest level

· Understand and live Conquips’ 5 core values
