Are you looking to take on a new Autism Teaching Assistant Position?

Are you looking to be an Autism Teaching Assistant on Long Term Contract?

Are you looking to work in a brand-new secondary school as an Autism Teaching Assistant?

We are looking for multiple Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant's to join one our biggest SEN schools in South East London. As an Autism specialist TA's You will be delivering the best 1-1 support to students aged 11-16 who have mild to severe behaviour problems (ranging from concentration issues to learning difficulties). The key aspect of this role is cohering to the behaviour de-escalation methods and promoting positive reinforcement strategies.

The ideal candidate:

Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.Requirement:

Must have strong SEN Experience
Happy to work in a Secondary School Setting
Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)
Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours
