Intervention Teaching Assistant (Full Time, Permanent)

Location: North Chesterfield (with travel across Chesterfield & North Derbyshire)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.00pm
Contract Type: Permanent (Term Time Only)
Pay: Initially payrolled through Tradewind, transitioning to a school contract

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team working with primary-aged children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who are currently not in mainstream education due to emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties (EBD). If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who face additional challenges, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted intervention and academic support, focusing on core areas such as Maths and Phonics.
Work with children who have social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping to nurture their development both academically and personally.
Deliver engaging and tailored educational support plans that meet the needs of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
Promote positive behaviour strategies and help children develop resilience and self-regulation skills.
Travel between educational sites across Chesterfield and North Derbyshire as needed, with a main base in North Chesterfield.What We Are Looking For:

A strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially in core subjects such as Maths and Phonics.
Experience working with children with SEND or additional needs (desirable).
Team Teach training or similar (beneficial, but not essential).
A compassionate and patient approach, with an understanding of how to support children with emotional and behavioural needs.
A valid UK driving licence and access to your own car (essential).What We Offer:
