Our client is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join their busy team on a part time basis - 20 hours per week

Duties include;

Ensure all payroll data, including new starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses and other adjustments are accurately communicated to the payroll bureau.
Collect and verify payroll data from the time and attendance system ensuring appropriate authorisations are in place to submit to external bureau in accordance with the payroll schedule.
Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies and procedures.
Review payroll reports from the bureau and communicate any changes or corrections needed in a timely manner.
Manage pension scheme to ensure up to date data is maintained on the pension site.
Act as main point of contact for employees regarding pension deductions and contributions.
Prepare, review and distribute payroll reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with internal reporting deadlines.
Resolve payroll queries in collaboration with the external bureau and Payroll Assistants, liaising directly with employees and third parties where necessary.
Oversee the maintenance and updating of payroll systems.
Maintaining the finance system in relation to the payroll ledger with accurate payroll postings and ensuring balance sheets are reconciled in line with the payroll processing deadlines.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Operational and external stakeholders.
Liaise and maintain a strong relationship with external bureau to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll.

You will have;

Previous experience in a busy high volume payroll environment
Strong payroll legislation knowledge and can complete manual calculations
Strong technical knowledge to assist dealing with some of the more complex payroll queries effectively
Experience working on a finance system completing posting, reporting and reconcile balance sheets
Good numerical skills and a logical approach to problem solving
Stakeholder management
Good customer service skills, including verbal and written experience
Strong excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
