We have a great opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Shift Manager to join the senior engineering team at our clients busy Distribution Centre that is located on the outskirts of Mansfield.

As an Engineering Shift Manager you will be responsible for the growing Automation Team executing the schedule of planned maintenance while ensuring that high standards are upheld to maintain the reliability and stability of the MHE, and that breakdowns are prioritised to limit down time.

This is a varied role that will see you being hands on leading the team with your technical knowledge and mentoring while supporting the senior management team attending meetings and managing shift handovers.

Key Responsibilities for an Engineering Shift Manager

Attend handover meetings with the wider senior engineering team.
Planning and organising of the Engineering Team delegating the schedule of planned maintenance.
Fault finding and maintenance of automated MHE including conveyors, shuttles, totes and robotics.
Respond to breakdowns.
Mentoring and leading the team.
Strong Attention to detail.
Management of system and equipment incidents.
Manage spare parts and Monitoring inventory and usage.
Strong understanding of control systems including WMS, SCADA.
Ensure the team are working within the H&S guidelines at all times. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience for an Engineering Shift Manager

Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering NVQ Level 3
Previous experience with leadership within Automation environment a must.
Experience with Automated MHE.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge
Experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems
Good understanding of Microsoft office
HNC/HND would also be desirable. Salary and Benefits of an Engineering Shift Manager
