Transport & Logistics Manager Benefits:
Location: Killamarsh, S21
Salary Circa £35,000
Hours Of Work: Monday to Friday - 07:00 - 17:00
Contract: Full time, permanentTransport & Logistics Manager Duties will include:
Managing and maintaining the companies Operator's Licence
Manage the development, performance and maintenance of the organisation's transport to produce an efficient transport service, maximising performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed targets/SLA's
Ensuring that the transport team understands its duties and its role within the organisation
Manage, direct and monitor the transport service and the overall performance of the transport to increase efficiency and maximise service, performance, value and profit
Review and develop current processes alongside the senior management team
Managing, maintaining transport related accreditation
Schedule deliveries and installations
Book jobs on the operating software, raise purchase orders for materials and schedule jobs on the manufacturing list
Liaise with Engineers, Customers and Designers to ensure projects timelines are adhered to
Manage the teams daily workloads and plan and run their daily schedule/calendar/s
Book in overnight stays / hotels for Engineers working away on larger projects.
Ensure all the appropriate safety documents are posted with the orders e.g. RAMS, Public Liability Insurance, Maintenance and Handover Documents etc.Transport & Logistics Manager Criteria:
Experience within Transport Compliance is essential
A proven track record of planning and managing transport, deliveries and installations
Desirable: Logistics Class 1 HGV Licence (desirable) CPC Qualification (a distinct advantage) IOSH / NEBOSH Certification is an advantage
Ideally proficient on Sage or another similar Software system e.g. NAV.
Excellent communication and people management skills
Full UK driving licence
