Trainee Warehouse Manager
Location: Shepshed
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 DOE + Bonus opportunity
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Warehouse Manager to join our client at their head office location in Shepshed. You will be joining a close-knit team, so being a team player is key in this environment. You will learn all there is to know about what it takes to make their operation run like clockwork and will be involved in all aspects of warehouse management, including customer interaction, so no two days will ever be the same.
Key Responsibilities:
As the new Trainee Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate and timely updates to inventory records.
* Order Processing: Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all orders are handled efficiently.
* Documentation: Maintain and update all necessary documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and inventory records.
* Communication: Liaise with various departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure effective communication and resolution of any issues.
* Data Entry: Accurately input data into warehouse management systems, ensuring that records are up-to-date, and errors are minimized.
* Quality Control: Assist in inspecting incoming goods and verifying the accuracy of orders.
* Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations.
What are we looking for in our new Trainee Warehouse Manager?
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is essential for this role.
* FLT License (Counterbalance) is highly desirable, but no essential as full training can be provided.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
