We're looking for an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer, specialising in critical cooling, ventilation, and fuel systems. You'll provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of data centre projects across the UK, Europe, and beyond. You'll work closely with top-tier clients, including hyper-scale data centres, pushing the boundaries of MEP design and delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical system design and strategy for data centre projects
Manage project delivery from concept through commissioning
Attend client and contractor meetings, offering expert mechanical design guidance
Produce detailed schematics, specifications, and reports
Drive sustainable and energy-efficient solutions across all phases of design
Conduct QA/QC inspections and technical reviews on-site
Mentor junior engineers and foster growth within the teamRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Chartered Engineer (IET or CIBSE)
Extensive experience leading mechanical designs in the data centre sector
Expertise in critical systems design, resilience strategies, and cooling technologies
Strong knowledge of UK & EU standards and regulationsWhat's on Offer:
