Engineering Manager - AA Gaming

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join one of our exciting clients based in Malta. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects across diverse teams. Your primary focus will be on developing efficient gaming platform for their customers, executing effective strategies, and ensuring the timely completion of projects while still being hands-on.

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in researching and developing innovative Gaming products. You will also be responsible for creating project budgets and overseeing their successful execution throughout the year. Collaborating closely with various teams in an Agile Matrix environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of 5-8 members in an Agile environment
• This role is a hands-on managerial position, (75% hands-on)
• be able optimise the teams objectives, to drive business impact and customer relations.
• Experience in code design and code reviews
• Improvement of test practices and techniques such as pair programming

You'll be great for this role if

• Ideally 7+ years' experience in Engineering, and 3 years+ team leading experience
• Background in Software Development (Python or C++) or Game Development (Unity or Unreal)
• Experience working in Gaming or SaaS based platforms and products
• Working with Scrum and Safe Methodologies.
• Exposure to Confluence or Jira is also a plus
• Experience working in an AWS cloud based environment Infrastructure
• IaaC experience is a bonus
