Technical Sales/Business Development Representative (Structured Telco Cables) - Perm - Hybrid (London)

TrinIT Talent are looking for a Sales Representative to come on board on a permanent basis working 2 days a week onsite in London and 3 days remote. This role is a permanent role and is paying between £50,000 and £60,000 basic + comms depending on experience (OTE will be £90k-£100k)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales/Business Development Representative to join our team, specializing in the sale of structured telecommunications (telco) cables. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, developing new business opportunities, and driving sales across the UK, US and European markets. This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in the office and some travel, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify new business opportunities, building a robust pipeline through research, networking, and proactive outreach (both phone-based and in-person).
  • Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Leverage industry knowledge to expand market share and uncover new revenue streams.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies for increasing sales of structured telco cables in targeted regions.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct face-to-face meetings, phone consultations, and product demonstrations to explain technical aspects of telco cables, aligning them with client needs.
  • Travel: Some travel within the UK, US and Europe to meet clients and attend industry events, with occasional remote travel planning to support logistics.
  • Market Research & Reporting: Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the structured cabling industry. Provide regular reports and forecasts to the sales manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or business development, with a focus on selling physical products. Experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record in lead generation, business development, and closing deals. Must be comfortable with both cold calling and face-to-face sales.
  • Logistics: Demonstrated experience in managing the sale and distribution of physical products, with a working knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel across the UK, US and Europe as required - as required (not extensively)
