If you’re currently or have previously been a Nursery Deputy Manager we have the chance for you to join our Gumboots Nursery.

Ofsted-rated Good, Gumboots Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years Education and Care to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in East Dulwich at (Apply online only) Crystal Palace Rd, SE22 9EP, close to East and North Dulwich stations, with lots off Free off street parking. We are a spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and preschool. Our children enjoy a varied and stimulating curriculum from baking sessions with our Chef to Zumba classes, gardening and trips out within the local community.

What we look for in our Deputy Managers

Each nursery shares LEYF's unique teaching model but you will have the freedom to be creative to suit how the children learn best. You’ll be involved in planning and creating engaging activities, building parent relationships and maintaining best practice amongst the whole nursery team. You’ll also support the Nursery Manager with finances, staffing, health and safety, team management and the general running of the nursery while maintaining and continually improving the quality of education provided.

You'll hold a Level 3 or above childcare qualification that is full and relevant for the Early Years sector and have some Nursery Deputy Manager experience. If you’re an experienced Room Leader ready for the leap into nursery management, we invite you to apply. You’ll also need to hold the right to work in the UK to join us.

As part of the recruitment process, we’ll be looking for evidence of your ability to protect and safeguard children in your care and for you to showcase your knowledgeable, passionate and imaginative approach to providing high quality Early Years education and strong leadership skills.
