Production Assembly Operator

£25,837.00 plus fantastic benefits

Royston based manufacturing company are looking for a permanent production assembly operator to join their growing team. (new position due to company growth)

The position comes with full training, however ideally the production assembly operator will have some of the following attributes:

* An understanding or practical experience of using Lean techniques

* Qualifications in or experience of welding (metals like aluminium, magnesium)

* Able to read or understand technical drawings and documentation

* Able to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

* Experience of mechanical or electromechanical assembly in a factory environment

* Experience of working to Health and Safety improvements

* Able to use multi-meters

* Proven experience of achieving production delivery deadlines, including standard build times

* Experience of working to quality and environmental standards (e.g. 9001, 14001, 18001)

* Basic soldering skills

The team of Production Assembly Operators are fun, some have been in the company a long time and happy to help give you guidance with all the duties, to join this great team you will be like minded.

* Excellent spoken and written English with proven and effective communication skills.

* The ability to work constructively within a team and with other areas of the business.

* To be diligent and methodically focus on tasks with a clear sense of urgency

* Maintaining and promoting a safe, clean, tidy & amicable working environment for self and others.

* Maintaining a positive approach, adaptable & flexible to changing demands

Hours of work for the Production Assembly Operator

Monday to Friday 37.5 days (running a flexi hours scheme)
