We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the installation of commercial heat pumps and associated pipework, including the removal of existing heating systems. The role involves daily management of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, project schedules, and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs).
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Supervision and coordination of subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient completion of heat pump installation and pipework projects.
* Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections, as well as revision and production of RAMs.
* Programme Management: Monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
* Quality Control: Inspect work quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
* Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties, including clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
* Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise on-site, providing effective solutions promptly.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, site reports, and safety documents.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Recent DBS Check (can be arranged)
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS Card
* First Aid Certification: Up-to-date certification required.
* Proven experience in a similar role, experience in managing commercial heat pump installation would be a distinct advantage
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
Hours are 07:30 - 17:00 with 1/2 hr lunch. Rate can be somewhat negotiable depending on experience
