ISQ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join a leading company based in Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company where you will play a key role in managing the procurement of essential materials, focusing on metals and electronics. Main Purpose of Job:
As a Senior Buyer, you will manage the procurement of core commodities, develop supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure a reliable supply chain to support production and engineering needs. A strategic mindset and strong negotiation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for core commodities, including metals and electronics.
Manage sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiation processes.
Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality standards, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align supplier capabilities with company standards. Key Skills and Relevant Experience:
Experience: 5+ years in a senior buying or procurement role, ideally within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
Commodity Knowledge: Expertise in metals and electronic components procurement.
Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of achieving cost savings and securing favourable terms.
Analytical Abilities: Strong skills in assessing supplier performance and market trends.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Right to Work: Candidates must have the existing right to work in the UK, as no visa sponsorship or support is available now or in the future.
Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential due to the location.
