Our Emerging Talent Programme supports young people aged 19-29 across the West Midlands to prepare for and gain apprenticeships, leading to sustained employment in their chosen career.

The role:
As an Employment Progression Coach, you will play a crucial role in guiding our participants to prepare for and secure apprenticeships, leading to sustained employment in their chosen careers. Your expertise in careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG), combined with a deep understanding of the job market, will empower our learners to set and achieve their career aspirations.

Key responsibilities:
Apprenticeship Provider Engagement:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with apprenticeship providers to identify and refer learners to suitable opportunities that align with their career goals.
* Collaborate with these providers to ensure a smooth transition for learners into apprenticeship roles.
Employer Engagement:
* Proactively engage with employers to identify and create employment opportunities for learners.
* Develop partnerships with employers to understand their workforce needs and align them with the skills and aspirations of our learners.
* Facilitate introductions between learners and employers, ensuring a good match for both parties.
Job Centre Plus Relationship Management:
* Act as the primary liaison with Job Centre Plus, fostering a collaborative relationship to enhance the support and resources available to our learners.
* Work closely with Job Centre Plus to identify potential learners and ensure they are referred to the appropriate programs within the Emerging Talent Programme.
Ongoing Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG):
* Provide consistent and high-quality IAG to employers, learners, and other stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the process.
* Tailor advice and guidance to meet the specific needs of each learner, helping them navigate their career paths effectively.
Support the Running of the ‘Apprenticeship Club’:
* Play a key role in the operation of the ‘Apprenticeship Club,’ a platform designed to help learners explore and secure apprenticeship opportunities.
* Facilitate activities within the club, providing learners with resources, information, and networking opportunities to enhance their chances of success.
Networking and Relationship Management:
* Attend relevant networking events to build and strengthen relationships with industry stakeholders, apprenticeship providers, employers, and other key partners.
* Promote the Emerging Talent Programme and Pathway Group’s mission at these events, identifying new opportunities and partnerships to benefit our learners.
1:1 Learner Meetings:
* Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with learners to provide personalized support, addressing their individual needs, challenges, and career aspirations.
* Offer targeted advice and resources to help learners progress through the program and secure meaningful employment.
Additional Skills and Attributes for Success:
* CEIAG qualification or equivalent experience in providing career advice and guidance.
* Proven experience working with young people, ideally within a training or educational environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and engage learners.
* Deep understanding of the job market, particularly in key sectors such as Construction, Business and Finance, Digital, Engineering and Manufacturing, Health and Social Care, Early Years, Catering and Hospitality, and Warehousing and Logistics.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Flexibility to travel regularly across Walsall, Birmingham, Coventry, and the wider West Midlands.
These skills and attributes will contribute to the successful fulfilment of the Quality and Performance Coach role, ensuring high standards of learning and Tutor performance in the beauty sector.
