We have an excellent opportunity for a new Depot Support Manager to provide the leadership and strategy to drive and develop the Howdens Joinery Depot Support function.

Working with the Senior Management team to ensure that the support meets present and future company needs which is created by organisational growth and change.

This is a full time, permanent role based onsite at least 3 days per week from our office in Raunds, Northamptonshire.

What will I be doing as a Depot Support Manager?

- Manage the negotiation and implementation of contracts and SLAs with 3rd party providers on an annual basis, with significant budgetary costs – circa £2m of business.
- Manage the relationships with 3rd party providers to ensure their service delivery is of the highest standard.
- Responsible for completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires for local Councils, Housing Associations and Account holders on behalf of all depots.
- Responsible for raising internal orders for computer equipment for depot need as well as escalating maintenance repair requests to external suppliers for all depots for Printers, Forklifts and Mechanical Handling equipment
- Oversee the raising of purchase orders and invoice payments through SAP, ensuring payments are made on time, and issues escalated to senior managers when necessary.
- Accountable for the accurate completion of staff returns for all regional teams and Depot Support departments.
- Support the update of documentation for New Depot openings.
- To lead charitable donations for depots and trade support
- Establish excellent working relationships with all depot staff and support functions.
- Be the “go to” person for management on advice and support on day-to-day support issues.

What we need from you

- Proven experience in managing team.
- Leading & managing complex projects.
- Good knowledge of indirect procurement.
- Negotiation & communication.
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- The ability to effectively communicate with managers at all levels.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Effective prioritisation and planning skills for small, medium, and large projects.
- Possesses influencing & Negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport & relationships.
- Good knowledge of Word/Excel/Power point/Microsoft office etc.
- Applicants who have obtained a Certificate in Management & Leadership from a professional body is highly advantageous.
