Specialise in the use of SCADA Control Systems working on various safety-critical maritime projects as a Control Systems Software Engineer as part of this established defence organisation.

Your role will be to deliver software artefacts whilst working to a full software development lifecycle through process and procedural activities.

Responsibilities:

Specify, design and test solutions for SCADA Systems and other high-level control systems
Develop/Programme SCADA software from multiple design formats such as Block Diagrams, Flow Charts and Pseudo Code
Develop high level software to integrate with the SCADA solutions
Validate software designs through analysis and test and produce technical documentation
Requirements:

Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering or a related discipline e.g. C&I engineering, Systems engineering, Software Engineering
Experience with the design and integration of complex, large-scale SCADA control systems using Siemens WinCC or GE (Cimplicity, iFix, Proficy) (preferred) and/or AVEVA (Wonderware) Intouch/System Platform.
High level system interfacing and database configuration
Software development lifecycles, processes and procedures
Understanding of testing and commissioning

Salary: £53,000–£76,000
Location: New Malden, Greater London area
Hybrid working: 2 days a week on-site typically and occasional travel to client site(s)
You will be successful in this role if you are an experienced control systems/software engineer specialising in SCADA control systems, particularly if you have used Siemens, and are looking for an opportunity to further your skillset by working on a range of challenging engineering problems.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
