Are you an experienced technician who holds a HNC qualification within a engineering discipline? Whether you're from a mechanical or electrical background, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your skill set by joining an industry leader who will offer you a varied and autonomous role where you will receive specialist training and step up into an engineer role.

This independent firm specialise in the design, product and service provider to the Electricity Supply Utilities industry. They represent a wide variety of clients across the UK and hold 17+ years within their field. They're seeking eager individuals with previous experience to assist them with an extremely exciting project, recently won with National Grid. You will receive specialist and hands on training from experienced and qualified engineers who will assist with your development, giving you the opportunity to step up into an engineer role.

In this role the engineer will be tasked with the installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, while assisting with new condition monitoring equipment. These include subsystems and communications, carrying out surveys within HV substations and removing and relocating existing systems.

The ideal candidate will hold a HNC qualification within a relevant engineering discipline and hold some experience working as a mechanical or electrical technician.

This is a brilliant role for a technician to become a task expert in a niche field whilst having the opportunity to gain the relevant skill set to become an experienced engineer, within a company that empower employees and encourages internal progression.

The Role:
* Working on an exciting project with National Grid
* Training and development encouraged, tailored to you as an individual
* Opportunity to step up into an engineering role
* Comfortable travelling across the UK on average 3 days per week
* Monday - Friday (no weekends required)

The Person:
* Ideally holds an HNC qualification or an Engineering degree
* Holds a full UK Driving Licence and comfortable travelling across the UK
* Good knowledge of handling Microsoft Office
* Live in a commutable distance to office in Glasgow
